The number one priority of ScoutingPlanner.com is Youth Protection. To support this priority, we do everything we can to ensure that information about scouts will only be made available to people with a need to know.
Information about scouts is ONLY available to people in their scout unit, and to the President of ScoutingPlanner.com.
Each scout unit (Pack, Troop, etc.) can customize the content of their home page to include customized pictures and text.
The policy of ScoutingPlanner.com is that photos and names of scouts should NOT be included on the public version of this page without the written consent
of the scouts' parents or legal guardians.

Scout data is encrypted at all times to minimize the risk to scouts: during transmission over the Internet, and when stored in our database. This is an added security measure to thwart unauthorized use
of information about scouts. Data is transmitted using 128-bit SSL security, which is the same level of security used to transmit financial and medical information over the Internet.
Encryption of contact information in the database prevents anyone in our data center from accessing the information in the database.

ScoutingPlanner.com does send e-mail notifications to everyone in your scout unit about upcoming unit events and requirements that need to be completed. Each person can control the frequency and content of these messages, or can disable them.
ScoutingPlanner.com may send e-mail notifications to unit leaders about any planned outages or new system features.
